2007 Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Classico morar®, Veneto, Italy

Fairly mature, mushy nose, reminiscent of root vegetables and undergrowth, preserved and dried black and red berries, some tobacco, some foliage, dried flowers and a hint of soup stock. Ripe, cooked and dried fruit with lots of cocoa-spicy wood, some tobacco, ash and coffee grounds, fine sandy, prominent, predominantly mature tannins, persistent and very full-bodied on the palate, slightly jammy, dark caramel and a little candy, a lot of cardamom, certain bitter notes and at the same time sweetish and creamy, emphasizes cocoa-savory finish.
