2008 Piave DOC Carmenère, Veneto, Italy

Tart nose, braised red and green bell peppers, chili pepper, some red and black berries, soup greens and carawy. Cool, tart fruit on the palate, fairly prominent, medium-fine tannins, earthy and herbaceous notes, more prominent bell peppers and some caraway, fairly persistent, attractive finish.
