2005 Friuli Grave DOC Titianus, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Fairly tart nose, partly preserved black and some red berries, dried herbs, light earthy notes. Cool, fairly tart fruit on the palate, prominent vegetal and herbaceous as well as earthy notes, fairly fine tannins, fairly persistent, delicate oak, quite polished, fairly mature tannins, only slightly astringent, good finish. Much better than the first sample.
