2002 Puglia IGT "Kebir", Apulia, Italy

Fairly open nose, dried plums and berries, light touch of cassis and tobacco. Quite lively, but also juicy and tranquil berry fruit, oak, dark chocolate and nutty notes, a little coffee in the background, fairly prominent, astringent tannin, unfortunately robs the wine of some of its charm on an otherwise good finish.
