2004 Puglia IGT Aglianico "Madrevite", Apulia, Italy

Cherries and berries on the nose, slightly stalky with a hint of petrol. Fairly prominent cherry fruit and almonds, some preserved dark berries, slightly sharp and angular, but also juicy and has some backbone, needs some aeration, good with hearty food, medium, slightly prominent tannins, slightly rustic style, good finish.
