2005 Salice Salentino DOC "Faneros", Apulia, Italy

Dried berries and a hint of plums on the nose, light earthy and mineral notes, some old oak. Delicately juicy, spicy berry fruit, partly preserved and marinated, moderate oak and dried herbs, mineral notes, tannins unfortunately rather brittle and astringent, attractive finish.
