2005 Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore bärbaCESCO®, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly mature nose, plums and preserved red berries, undergrowth, herbaceous notes, old oak, roasted notes and a hint of caramel. Quite mature on the palate, fairly lean, polished, preserved and marinated fruit, red berries and some cherries in alcohol, herbaceous notes, cedary traces, some more old oak, integrated tannins, fairly lively and quite full-bodied, notes of pistachio and green wood, slightly astringent on a good finish.
