2015 Barolo DOCG Bricco San Biagio, Piedmont, Italy

Clear, slightly tarry nose of red and a little black berries with tobacco and floral notes, a little dried herbs, a hint of iodine, pomegranate and licorice. Juicy, fairly fresh, ripe fruit, nutty, slightly roasted, tobacco and woody notes, fine sandy, youthful, slightly astringent tannins, persistent on the palate, has power, some dark caramel and coffee grounds, very good, juicy and spicy oak finish.

Best to drink: 2020-2027+. What our ratings mean
