2010 Barolo DOCG Riserva Sottocastello di Novello, Piedmont, Italy

Earthy, dried vegetal and greasy fragrance with red and black berry aromas, undergrowth, metallic hints and a little tar. Fairly juicy, clear, slightly polished fruit, greasy and delicate vegetal notes, fine sandy tannins, slightly astringent, good persistence, a hint of cocoa in the background, grip and some bite, nutty notes, salty traces, very good, quite polished, tart - juicy and slightly spicy finish.
