2000 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOC Riserva Luigi Lepore, Abruzzi, Italy

Fairly mature nose, reductive and animal notes, dried and preserved berries, earthy with some old oak, light volatile and lactic notes. Lighter and cooler on the palate than one would expect, slightly tart, concentrated dried berry fruit, light malted notes, bitter roasted notes, some medicinal herbs, hint of coffee, integrated tannins, some more light volatile and lactic notes, delicately juicy on a good long finish.
