2011 Hohen-Sülzen Kirchenstück Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm, quite deep stone fruit aroma with citrus flavours, some herbs, caramel and a hint of smoke as well as tobacco and mineral nuances. Ripe, juicy yellow fruit with candy notes, some hazelnut, herbs and floral nuances, lively, fine acidity and grip, persistent on the palate, dense, spicy and mineral, has power, but also finesse and cool elements, some sweetness, clear minerality, herbal and floral notes, fine zest bitterness, a hint of dark berries and smoke, with air caramel and brown butter are added, very good, firm, ripe-juicy and spicy finish.
