2011 Riesling trocken CO, Rheinhessen, Germany

Deep and complex, slightly tobacco-like and reminiscent of pulses intense mineral scent of highly ripe pomaceous fruit, stone fruit and citrus fruits with fine soup herbs and spicy traces. Ripe, concentrated and juicy fruit in the mouth, candied herbs, some sautéed vegetables and floral nuances, again a hint of pulses, very fine, lively acidity, lots of substance and touch, deep and persistent on the palate, multi-layered spiciness, crumbly-crunchy mineral notes, firm building, hardly developed yet, sweetish smelt, very good, if a trace covered, juicy and fine spicy finish. Must mature.
