2000 Sangiovese Saltapicchio, Marches, Italy

Dark berries and cherries on the nose, light floral notes, smoky cedar wood, vanilla and new oak. Good fruit on the palate, cranberries, some plums and dried dark berries, new oak, already quite harmonious although still young, ripe, polished tannins, clear struture, quite full-bodied, has finesse on a good finish. Modern and well made, and has some own character.
