2012 D.O. Gran Canaria Agala, Canary islands, Spain

Relatively cool aroma of partly preserved cherries and some black berries with hints of red berries, a little dried herbs and floral nuances. Rather tart fruit in the mouth, nutty-woody flavours, very slightly stewed fruit tones, quite fine and crumbly, yet still youthful tannins, chocolatey hints on the palate, good persistence, absolutely not heavy despite all its power, slightly warming alcohol, good to very good finish.
