1997 D.O.Ca Rioja Reserva Viña Pomal, La Rioja, Spain

Reddish brown, significantly lighter on the rim. Elegant spicy nose with red berry preserves, some plums, sweet spices, wilted flowers and some leather. Spicy in the mouth, relatively firm structure, tannins present, delicate oxidative style, nutty spicy oak on the palate, quite persistent, good length.
