1999 D.O.Ca Rioja Reserva La Vicalanda, La Rioja, Spain

Garnet, showing some maturation. Light animal notes, sweetish spicy oak, notes of ripe plums and partly dried red berries. Quite juicy in the mouth, with fine, slightly astringent tannins, straightforward style, not much depth, but very well made, light mineral notes, good finish.
