2002 D.O. Jumilla Syrah Montesinos, Murcia, Spain

Very deep garnet-violet. Nose still rather closed, with aromas of black berries and a hint of green herbs. Quite concentrated and juicy, lots of fruit, powerful, with ripe tannins, peppery spice on the palate, appears closed, compact style, persistent on the palate, herbs and spices, some juniper and smoke on a good finish. May still improve.
