1997 D.O. La Mancha Gran Reserva Allozo, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain

Medium garnet to brown. Light animal notes on the nose, pecan nut, a hint of cocnut and dried berries. Mature on the palate, some rum punch, dried berries and tomatoes, powerful ripe tannins, quite well balanced, some delicate spicy old oak, not too persistent overall, slightly bitter touch on an attractive finish.
