Nutty nose, hint of tobacco, light peppery notes, predominantly black berries and a few cherries, hint of tar, mineral traces. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, dark peppery spice, nutty oak, cocoa and licorice, fairly prominent tannins, still slightly sandy, good persistence, dark caramel in the background, salty notes and some peants, good substance, full-bodied, spicy notes on a very good firm, juicy finish. Needs more time to mature.
