2013 D.O.Ca Rioja Reserva Especial, Edición Limitada, La Rioja, Spain

Smoky nose, earthy and nutty notes, partly preserved black berries, peppery notes and some tar, dried herbs, hint of cocoa. Firm, predominantly dark, ripe fruit on the palate, spicy oak and some cocoa, fine tannins, light bite, smoked bacon and a hint of tobacco, more earthy notes, good substance and persistence, still young, salty and spicy notes, very good firm finish with tobacco, dark fruit and cocoa.
