2003 D.O. Calatayud Reserva Castillo de Maluenda, Aragón, Spain

Slightly overripe preserved and marinated berries on the nose, touch of undergrowth. Appealing, soft, preserved berry fruit on the palate, slightly sweetish, light herbaceous notes with some sage, hint of chocolate, integrated fine-grained tannins, quite full-bodied and has some substance, but also quite a cool style, slightly astringent on an otherwise good finish.
