, The Garcia Aparicio family has been cultivating vineyards in the Ribera del Duero DO area for generations; the grapes were sold to the wholesale trade. The objective enterprise was founded in the year 2000 with the aim to lead the enterprise to the top quality of the region. For this, a new bodega with state-of-the-art cellar technology was put into operation this year. The operation is managed by Juan Manuel García Aparicio. Since 2005 Isaac Fernandez is advisory oenologist
active in the well-known winery Vega Sicilia
and worked in an advisory capacity at Bodegas Mauro. Finally, additional vineyards were acquired in 2008 in the two DO areas Rueda and Rioja Alta.

in the two provinces Burgos and Valladolid with 100% Tinta del País = Tempranillo
, 10 acres in Rioja
(Subregion Rioja Alta) with mostly Tempranillo and something mazuelo
as well as 20 hectares Rueda

). These are in the layers (span. Pagos
) Los Miles, Valcavada, Picarillo and Monroy y Valdián (slope footlands), Pascuala, Lopa, San Juan, Rillosa, Linares, Valdezate, Tras de la Rubiera and Pozo y Madriles (medium water-poorer locations with higher lime content), Pedregal, Valduvienzas and Matambres y Acediano (very high altitude), as well as the top location La Blanquera (almost pure limestone).
There is a gradual management of the vineyards with strong yield reduction in the middle and higher altitude vineyards. The red wines go through the traditional maceration
, The maturation of the wines is 70% in barriques of French and 30% American oak. Among the premium wines are "Ribera del Duero Crianza" (Tempranillo 14 months barrique) and "Finca La Blanquera" from the district of Nava de Roa and from Rioja "Finca Thus Joven" and "Finca Athus Crianza".
