2011 Venezia Giulia IGT Svuàl, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Tart nose, slightly muted, cedary notes, hint of ashes and tobacco, light earthy notes, black berries, hint of smoked bacon and iodine, some undergrowth, dried vegetal traces. Ripe, partly preserved, warm fruit on the palate, prominent spicy notes, light dried vegetal and herbaceous aromas, hint of tobacco, very slightly sweetish and creamy, good substance and persistence, integrated sandy tannins, noticeable high alcohol, very slightly rustic style, light sooty notes, more preserved fruit on a good to very good finish.
