2010 Taurasi DOCG Riserva, Campania, Italy

Light peppery spice on the nose, light meaty notes and a hint of iodine, predominantly black berries, leatheryand earthy notes, some dried herbs and black olives. Ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, some chocolate, hint of tobacco and iodine, light herbaceous and earthy notes, sweetish and creamy, but also has a slight bitter touch, good substance and persistence, noticeable warm alcohol, slightly dusty tannins, good to very good finish.
