2013 Merlot trocken Private Reserve, Oberthrakische Tiefebene, Bulgaria

Slightly fleshy, animal-like nose, ripe black berries, dried tomatoes and red pepper, leathery, earthy and herbaceous notes. Full-bodied, sweetish and juicy on the palate, ripe, partly dried and preserved fruit, fairly prominent, slightly sandy tannins, cocoa, dry herbs and spicy nutty notes, persistent, powerful alcohol, some licorice, ethereal notes, slightly resinous notes, rather complex, has some depth, very good, again slightly sweetish finish.
