The estate is located in Mazzon (municipality Neumarkt / Egna) in the Italian wine-growing area South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). It has been owned by the Johanna family and Kurt Rottensteiner since 1987. In 2011, a winery was acquired with 1921 planted Lagreinreben. The vineyards cover seven hectares, 80% of which are reds Pinot Noir (4 ha) and Lagrein, as well as 20% with the white wine varieties Gewurztraminer and Manzoni Bianco are planted. The Organic farming takes place since 2011 according to the rules of the association Bioland, On the use of mineral fertilizer, as well herbicides and insecticides is waived. Against fungal diseases especially copper and sulfur is used, the grape moth is using disrupter fought.

The fermentation of the wines takes place spontaneous using vineyard-owned yeasts. The Gewürztraminer ferments to two-thirds in steel tanks and two-thirds in new 500-liter oak barrels. After the fermentation of the Pinot Noir in 25 hectoliter barrels and the malolactic fermentation, the red wines are aged for 12 months in barrique, then for a few months in steel tanks and after bottling for up to eight months in the bottle before being marketed. The product range includes different ones in the bottle. The product range includes various South Tyrol DOC wines, as well as IGT wines.
