1989 Barolo DOCG Riserva Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly mature nose, partly dried red berries and some plums, very complex with autumn leaves, forest floor, some pepper, dried flowers and spice, prominent mineral notes. Clean, polished, elegantly matured fruit on the palate, full-bodied as well as elegant, concentrated and creamy, extremely fine tannins, hint of gingerbread spice, deep, concentrated and juicy, excellent persistence, beguiling, very long finish.
