2007 Barolo DOCG Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat vegetable, old-wood and candy-nutty scent of ripe red and slightly black berries with cherry and plum nuances, some sweet tobacco, wilted flowers and earthy minerality. Firm, complex and juicy in the mouth, ripe fruit with firm tannins and a certain acid bite, dense and persistent on the palate, pithy style, powerful and concentrated, enormous minerality, multi-layered spice with peppery tones, candied and dried flowers, traces of caramel, still little developed, compact, very long, complex, beguiling aftertaste. Must absolutely mature.
