Wine Review Report :

Wein-Plus rating: Excellent (91 WP)
Last reviewed: 5 October 2017
Editor note: Light floral notes on the nose, hint of petrol, stone and some pomaceous fruit, vegetal notes, hint of yellow spice, earthy and mineral notes. Bone dry, elegant, juicy, cool fruit on the palate, still has light yeasty notes, vegetal aromas, elegant, lively acidity, floral traces, light earthy and mineral notes, light grip, good substance, hint of rhubarb, still rather closed, very good tart, juicy, grippy ginish.
Best to drink: Mid-2018-2024+
Wein-Plus rating: 88 WP
Last reviewed: 27 August 2015

The German growing area Franconia was formerly in the three areas Maindreieck, Mainviereck and Steigerwald structured with 23 major layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011, a new regulation was adopted by the members of the Franconian Winegrowing Association. The three old areas are replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 major locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for some time. Before this conversion, the following description applies to the area Maindreieck:

Main - river course with Maindreieck and Mainviereck

By far the largest Franconian area...
