2013 Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Clear nose, light herbs and spices, peppery notes, candied nuts, red and black berries, whiff of mint and licorice. Fairly dark, tart fruit on the palate, some cocoa, licorice and slightly bitter spicy notes, fairly prominent, slightly astringent fine tannins, minty herbaceous notes, fairly persistent, quite full-bodied, dried floral traces, very good tart finish.
