2008 Bolgheri DOC Adèo, Tuscany, Italy

firm nose, light toasted notes, ripe black berries and some cherries, light herbs and spices, light mineral traces. Ripe, warm, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, spicy oak and some chocolate, fairly prominent integrated tannins, hint of bacon, spicy traces, full-bodied and persistent, herbaceous notes in the background, hint of tobacco, good depth, elegant bite, quite complex, salty traces, very good firm, very juicy, sweetish, spicy finish. In excellent condition.

Editor note: Medium-intense, fairly deep nose, slightly tart red and black berries, hint of cherries. Clear, polished, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, very fine tannins evenly distributed, light spice, full-bodied with substance, but not heavy, mineral and light floral notes, moderate spicy oak, fairly clear as to its origins, has some depth, good finish.
