1994 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé AOC, Bordeaux, France

Firm, nutty and somewhat tobacco, moderately wood-spicy aroma of ripe black and red berries with a little black olives, herbs and dried tomatoes. Tight, juicy, ripe, tart fruit, slightly smoky notes, some liquorice, black olives and hints of pepper, persistent on the palate, good depth, smoky nuances, fine, yet quite firm tannin, a hint of bacon, salty tones in the background, hints of cedar, has power despite the moderate alcohol, very good, firm, quite dense, tangy and spicy finish with grip. In excellent condition, much stronger than the last bottle.
