2013 Ghemme DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Tart nose, predominantly black and a few red berries, hint of tobacco, oak and earthy notes. Ripe, tart, juicy, mainly dark fruit on the palate, very light toasted, spicy oak, some cocoa, ripe, fine sandy tannins, light acid bite, full-bodied and creamy, persistent, fairly concentrated, still young, mineral notes in the background, spicy notes, good depth, quite complex, hint of tar, very good, firm, juicy, grippy finish.
