2012 Sizzano DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly more vegetal, at first slightly cabbage-like, with air then ever finer scent with notes of preserved red and some black berries, some foliage and tobacco and a hint of licorice. Tart fruit on the palate, old oak, light tobacco, nutty and earthy notes, touch of dried floral notes, mature and sandy tannins, not particularly deep, but typical and harmonious, fairly full-bodied, herbaceous and herbaceous notes, light touch, salty traces, good finish until very good, elegant, juicy finish.
