1998 Valtellina DOC Tinaia, Lombardy, Italy

Dried flowers and red berries on the nose, mineral notes, slightly smoky, dried prunes, leather and leaves. Very mature in the mouth, but still quite firm, acidity with good presence, roasted notes, lots of fine tannins, peristent on the palate, complex aromas with dried fruit, wilted flowers and leaves, mineral backbone, noticeable alcohol, acid bite, good depth and length.

Best to drink: Bis 2008. What our ratings mean
