2006 Aglianico del Vulture DOC Vignali, Basilicata, Italy

Fairly tranquil nose, preserved cherries and red berries, some plums, delicate spice. Spicy again on the palate, light roasted notes, fairly warm fruit, but also has a surprising acid bite, light mineral and salty notes, fairly persistent, good finish.
