2005 Barolo DOCG "Arione", Piedmont, Italy

Nose still slightly closed, slightly green with partly preserved red berries, sweetish wilted flowers, some undergrowth and licorice. Cool, slightly tart fruit on the palate, green vegetal notes and slightly austere old oak, hint of tar, medium-fine, slightly astringent tannins, not particularly deep, but still quite young and quite firm, good to very good finish.
