2004 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Blauburgunder Saltner, Alto Adige, Italy

Aromas of red berries, light notes of undergrowth and mushrooms. Youthful fruit with lively acidity, fairly light-bodied style, still has a touch of carbon dioxide, this supports the slightly sandy tannins, good presence on the palate, clear varietal character, quite a good finish. Will benefit from a few more months maturation, but is already very enjoyable now.
