2011 Montefalco Rosso DOC, Umbria, Italy

Slightly open, nutty-woody and tobacco aroma of partly dried mixed berries and some plums with dried-vegetable, milky and earthy notes. Relatively tart fruit in the mouth, a lot of Amarena cherry, nutty and slightly spicy tones, very slightly jammy and again milky tones, on the palate dried herbs and a little wood, some persistence, earthy notes, present, predominantly crumbly tannin, good to very good finish with buttery traces
