2008 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet-Merlot Rungg, Alto Adige, Italy

Slightly muted nose, cassis and red currants, herbaceous notes, light smoky and sooty notes, old oak. Polished preserved red currant fruit on the palate, delicate fleshy notes and some chocolate, some undergrowth, mineral traces, fine-grained tannins, has backbone and substance, fairly cool ,elegant style, shows its origin, good to very good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2014+. What our ratings mean
