2009 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Stoan, Alto Adige, Italy

Light nutty notes on the nose, hint of caramel, ripe pomaceous fruit, earthy and mineral notes, hint of tobacco. Ripe, creamy fruit on the palate, light nutty notes, touch of yellow spice and tobacco, very elegant acidity, integrated tannins provide moderate grip, hint of oak, good substance and persistence, mineral notes in the background, peppery traces, compact structure, very good, firm, ripe, spicy, juicy, mineral finish. In excellent condition, does not show its age at all.

Best to drink: Bis 2013+.
Editor note: Clear nose, pomaceous fruit and a hint of citrus, light fresh herbs and spices, peaches and a whiff of lychee, mineral notes, light floral traces. Very clear on the palate, polished, juicy and lively, very elegant acidity, creamy, fresh and dried herbs, mineral notes in the background, some more floral traces, fairly complex, surprisingly cool and lively considering the high alcohol, very well balanced and has some depth, very good finish.
