CANTINE LA PERGOLA sac.
Winery Wines

2003 Lugana DOC Superiore Cios, Lombardy, Italy

Mature nose, dried leafy notes, herbs and spices, preserved quinces and a hint of tobacco. Quite full-bodied on the palate in spite of the moderate alcohol level, more tobacco, some spicy oak and light nutty notes, elegant acidity, mineral traces, restrained fruit, lemony notes, light acid bite, tart spicy finish. Continues to hold up surprisingly well.

Editor note: Quince jelly on the nose, delicate spice, some nutty notes and a touch of old oak. Dry and mature on the palate, gentle slightly earthy and partly preserved yellow fruit, some more quinces, integrated acidity, very slightly astringent but not obtrusive tannins, good partner with food, has some substance, mineral traces, uncomplicated style, attractive to good finish.
