2003 Toscana IGT Villa di Corsano, Tuscany, Italy

Preserved black berries and plums on the nose, herbaceous notes and some licorice, sooty, roasted notes. Oak dominates the palate, more smoky, roasted and sooty notes, dark fruit slightly pushed into the background, prominent, very astringent tannins, fairly juicy, full-bodied and creamy, nevertheless remains fairly cool, herbaceous and mineral traces, still youthful, oak dominates an astringent, sooty finish.
