2006 Toscana IGT "Ghiaie Della Furba", Tuscany, Italy

Warm, somewhat developed aroma of very ripe dark berries and a little cherry with ethereal, somewhat dried floral and nutty aromas, a little liquorice and mint. Very ripe, warm fruit also in the mouth, juicy and sweetish-woody-spicy, some bite, fine sandy tannin, bacony nuances, a little herbal, persistent, noticeable alcohol, a touch of salt, sweetish, very slightly woody spice, ethereal notes, very good, ripe-juicy, again warm finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2022+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Very ripe blackcurrants and some blackberries on the nose, cedary notes, dried soup greens, earthy and mineral notes, light spicy oak. Firm and tart on the palate, loads of ripe fruit, some spicy oak, herbaceous and earthy notes, persistent, quite full-bodied, good depth, light acid bite, sandy, slightly astringent tannins, has contours, tart mineral notes on a very good finish.
