2015 Toscana IGT Ghiaie della Furba, Tuscany, Italy

Firm, slightly smoky nose, hint of tobacco, light cedary notes, ripe black berries, some licorice, peppery as well as meaty animal traces, hint of root vegetables, walnuts, oak and light mineral notes. Tart, firm, very dark fruit on the palate, nutty oak and dark chocolate, some pepper and licorice, fairly prominent fine sandy tannins, persistent and full-bodied, noticeably warm alcohol, but also has cool notes reminiscent of iced chocolate, hint of coffee in the background, becomes more firm and fresh with aeration, ethereal traces, good depth, fairlycomplex, very good firm, juicy, spicy finish.
