2013 Valtellina Superiore DOCG Riserva Sassella, Lombardy, Italy

Dried floral and earthy aroma with red berry aromas, vegetal nuances, dried flowers and a hint of pepper. Clear, rather cool, bright, fine juicy, slightly spicy fruit, nutty tones on the palate, delicately tobacco and peppery, some persistence, fine sandy, rather friable tannins, almondy tones, a hint of smoke, very good finish.
