2001 Barolo DOCG Riserva, Piedmont, Italy

Red berries and some plums on the nose, undergrowth, earthy and nutty notes, vegetal notes and a hint of tobacco. Ripe, fairly juicy soft fruit on the palate, fairly prominent and very fine tannins, creamy, very light oxidative traces, light dried floral and earthy notes, good persistence, full-bodied and has some depth, excellent balance, juicy and creamy, light bite on a very good finish. Currently in excellent condition.
