2007 Barolo DOCG Vigna Case Nere, Piedmont, Italy

Nutty, dried-vegetable and old-wood scent of red and black berries with dried-floral aromas and a hint of tobacco. Straightforward, quite juicy fruit with tobacco and dried floral aromas, old oak and earthy on the palate, slightly astringent tannins, fairly powerful and persistent, not particularly deep, but with a bite and substance, fairly polished, very good, quite juicy and also spicy finish .
