2016 Barbera d'Alba DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Tart scent of predominantly black fruit with floral nuances, a little Provence herbs and noticeable alcohol. Very tart fruit, some bite and recjt firm, fairly fine tannins, very slightly astringent, earthy, undergrowth and vegetal notes, fairly persistent, noticeable alcohol, tobacco and peppery notes, good to very good, tart finish.
