2015 Barolo DOCG Cerrati, Piedmont, Italy

A slightly undergrowthy, mushroomy, dried floral fragrance with hints of red and black berries with peppery, spicy, iodine, earth and herbaceous notes. Astringent, quite firmly worked fruit in the mouth, nutty, earthy, slightly bacon and dried vegetal notes, cocoa and cardamom in the background, roasted wood tones, present, still a little drying tannin, noticeable alcohol, tobacco spice, very good, tart, only again alcoholic and still a little drying finish with coffee notes. Must still mature.
